| Asia-Pacific
Economic Coopertion (APEC) was established
in 1989 in response to the growing
interdependence among Asia-Pacific
economies. Its goal is to advance
economic dynamism and sense of community
within the Asia-Pacific region.
APEC has established itself as the
primary regional vehicle for promoting
open trade, practical economic and
technical cooperation. As it has
long been identified amongst APEC
economies that SMEs require affordable,
yet professional advisory services
but the need is not sufficiently
met because the pool of experts
assisting SMEs is limited and the
quality of SME Counselling differs
to a varying degree. |
